Hello my love, I am Sarella...

The creator behind where Meadows Grow.

I am a proud immigrant& daughter of a chief from Mocambique, who ventured from East Germania to Britannia, almost 2 decades ago, with nothing but one suitcase and a violin on my back.

Art and creating have always been the essence of my very being and something I in cooperate into my every day life. Be it, the in-between knitting session whilst the pasta is overboiling , a quick Macarena to keep my feet warm or the paint dripping off my paintbrush, because I felt like painting the walls in yet another colour.

It is all the different materials and the potential that lie in them, that excite me so much and are my forever source of inspiration. It is the realm of yarn, which has helped me connect not only to other creators and my heritage, but also allowed me to experiment and channel all my hyper fixations into what I adore creating now: Stitchmarkers.
My Stitchmarkers tell stories of longing, tender moments, unapologetic joy. mystery and re-/connection to nature around us.
It is a journey of flowing with the seasons and finding joy in the small little wonders of life and I am so happy you are here with me, wondering around the Meadow with me.
